A Microlon treatment, properly applied, will provide any engine with a dry-film lubrication that will not only protect the engine but will dramatically reduce friction and wear. Reduction in wear will result in longer lasting and more efficient operation of equipment.
Under high magnification, all metals are very much like a sponge. The peaks and valleys fill with carbon, varnish and dirt as a result of imperfect combustion. Microlon is a thin liquid, It contains no oil. When Microlon is introduced into the crankcase and fuel it travels through these systems and clinically cleans the matrix of the metal. Once the metal is clean it is ready to receive the resin, along with corrosion inhibitors and antioxidants contained in the product.
The resin has no affinity for metal, but it does have an affinity for itself and will self-weld one to another. With the particles of resin in suspension in Microlon, two bearing surfaces rubbing against each other trap those particles and rub them down into the surface of each other, forming a mechanical lock. This process continues until the metal is completely filled and its internal friction will not permit another particle to be pushed into it or until there is no more particulate to be pushed into the metal. During this process of formation of the Microlon film, the resin particles weld together to form a continuous film.
When the two metal surfaces are impregnated to the point where they simply will not take any more resin, and when the film is formed in those surfaces, then friction is considerably reduced, thereby increasing the efficiency of the mechanical device. As it works in automobile and aircraft engines it will work in any mechanical device where there is relative motion between components.
The benefits of a ONE-TIME Microlon treatment are:
- Reduced wear
- Reduced fuel consumption
- More useable horsepower
- Quieter operation
- Lower operating temperatures
- Quicker and easier starts
- Lower hydrocarbon emissions
- Smoother engine operation
- Normalized compression
- Protection against corrosion
- Reduced oil consumption
- Dry start protection
